It is always warm in the Philippines, more so during the Summer where its more fun to wander around in our fit flops and shorts.

Fit flops will always be part of the Pinoy`s arsenal of must haves, which makes the Banana Peel event so much fun. We can actually have fun under the sun even away from the beaches.

Banana Peel is the first flip flop concept store in the Philippines. They are the only banana peel that nobody slips in because they are what the customers want to slip on. This brand believes that fit flops are not only apparel but a lifestyle!

Last May 16 and 17, Banana Peel invited bloggers and  flip flop lovers to enjoy the summer good vibes through its “Summer in the City” event at the UP Town Center, Katipunan. This is Banana Peel`s way of thanking their loyal followers for continuously supporting its products.

“Summer in the City is a way for us at Banana Peel to have an afternoon of good vibes, fun and treats with our customers,” said Charmine Manuel, Marketing Manager of Banana Peel.  “Just by presenting a receipt worth 300php from Banana Peel, our customers got to enjoy all the treats in the venue added Manuel.

I arrived at the event ground a little before 10 AM, the bloggers have first crack at all the games and booth before they open the gates for guest at 12NN. Each guest gets a passport to all the great booths at the event grounds.

The event features five activity areas for its loyal followers to enjoy, which includes the Adventure  Central where guest can play with all over-sized classic games like Jenga, Tic Tac Toe, and Snakes & Ladders.

There are also sponsored booths with games at their Carnival Block;

Mogu Mogu ring toss. I wasn’t very good at this…but they have me a pin for my trouble.

WWF talk about environmental and biodiversity issue and what we can do to help out.

Using a net you just need to catch one duck and you get a prize!

Beach Hut offers the Yangpong game where you need to shoot a small ball into the cups to win Beach Hut items.

When you drop by the Mary Kay Philippines booth you get a free facial, try out their cosmetics and you can sign up to be a member of the Mary Kay family.

One of my favorite booths. They offered free manicure they also gave out a discount coupon from Beauty and Butter. They really pampers my hands and nails.

I didn’t get my hair braided because it’s very hard to untangle a braided curly hair, instead I had my hand painted…instead of my face. This attention grabbing Fem-Skull was my idea, the painter was very talented.

Myx VJ Ai dela Cruz hosted the #BPSummerintheCity, they gave out raffle prizes, stage games and mid afternoon acoustic performances at the Chill Stage area.

The Bite Yard is the place where will all enjoyed the snacks!

At the Bite Yard, guest enjoyed the snacks and refreshments such as noodles, chips bread,pretzels, Korean ice cream and favorite summer refreshments. You will never feel hungry coz of the tasty samples they were giving out.

Sun Cellular/Broadband offers plans and a lot of freebies when you sign up to their plans.
