Want a more interactive theater experience ? Why don’t you book a season with Manila Improv Festival 2017?
For those in dark, what exactly is improv?
Improvisational theatre best know as Improv or Impro or Improving, is a form of theater where most or all of what is performed is created at the moment it is performed. In its purest form, the dialogue, action, story, and characters are created collaboratively by the players as the improvisation unfolds in present time, without use of an already prepared, written script.
Crowded house for the Manila Improv Media Night
Third World Improv and the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) recently invited me to a preview of sorts for their Manila Improv Festival 2017, the actual event is from March 22 to 26 at the PETA Theater Center in Quezon City.
The fun part is that year’s festival will feature performances by international improvisers from Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Osaka, Tokyo, Mumbai and Brisbane, and showcase Filipino improvisers from Manila, Bacolod and Cagayan de Oro.
