Event: Book Launch of Precious Pages Young Adult Books Rebel Fiction Line

Hello Sweeties!

Aside from the launching of Moymoy Lulumboy Book 3 at the Manila International Book Fair 2016 at the SMXConvention Center last September 17,  I also had the opportunity to attend their next event, Rebel Fiction`s  Launch and Books Signing from also from Precious Pages.

For more than 25 years, Precious Pages Corporation has produced a wide array of reading
choices written by Filipinos for Filipinos. Precious Hearts Romances has been the constant
companion of ladies (and some men) from all walks of life for their dose of kilig. Children learn and have fun reading Lampara Books. More recently, Precious Pages turned up the heat with its Red Room books. Now, a new imprint is set to conquer the scene, this time, in the spectrum of Young Adult Fiction.

Introducing Rebel Fiction, stories that will surely appeal to young emotions. Ten (10) new titles   with genres that span romance, gothic, fantasy, adventure, paranormal,suspense-thriller, detective, sci-fi and more, every teen is bound to find a book close to his or her heart. We will surely fall in love with every book written for the young Filipino reader.

The event was made even more interesting with PETA Theater Center doing the love excerpts from 4 books! I have seen this done before, it was similar to a book reading but clearly the PETA actors bough the characters closer to the readers. It was a sensory and visual experience.

Book Launch: Book 3 – Moymoy Lulumboy (Ang Paghahanap kay Inay)

I was thrilled to get an invitation to attend Lampard Books Launch of one of their most popular series Moymoy Lulumboy: Ang Paghahanap Kay Inay, as the third installment hits the shelves last September 17, 2016 at the SMX Convention Center, coinciding with the 37th Manila International Book Fair.

I usually make time to go to the MIBF on a weekday because I did not want to be crushed by the large crowd of people during the weekend, but for one of the most amazing Pinoy Childern series I made this exception.

It has been year since we last heard from Moymoy, the boy “Aswang”.

In this book, Moymoy is able to save his twin brother Alangkaw and their childhood friend Hasmin, a manananggal. Having found out as well who their mother is and where she may be found, the twins embark on a mission to save her by following certain missions as bidden them by Ingkong Dakal, the guardian of the Gabun archives. Will Moymoy and Alangkaw be able to accomplish the tasks and eventually be reunited with their mother Diyosang Liliw at last?

The event was made even more special with the PETA (Philippine Educational Theater Association) book reading/ singing/ acting out the except from the book.

I thoroughly enjoyed the performance excuse the strange video, I only got a portion before my battery gave out.
