The Amherst Laboratories located in Mamplasan, Binan, Laguna, it is here, United Laboratories have their state-of-the-art toll manufacturing pharmaceutical plant where all their products on are made on a large scale. This 2.4 hectares pharmaceutical plant has advance manufacturing facilities designed to produce a variety of ethical or prescription drugs most common in the market today.
After short orientation with a nice breakfast. We were guided inside the Amherst Plant. We visited two buildings. The Solid Plant (EU-GMP certified) and then the Liquid Plant.
The whole facility was clean, well sanitized. They are very sanitation and safety conscious. Everyone guest and employee alike need to wear lab gowns and plastic over their footwear The doors and rooms are color-coded, and even the employees’ clothes are number-coded, everyone inside the coded doors wear face masks, lab gowns, and laboratory gloves.
No cameras allowed inside the Amherst Plant. We were prohibited to take photos or video during the tour for security purposes.

Every tablet, bottle of medicine undergo through testing and validation before they distribute it to drugstores. Their quality assurance and quality control are way above par. Before a new product can be distributed to the public it will undergo a clinical trial and extensive testing inside the laboratory to assure its safety.
After Amherst Laboratories Plant Tour, we were treated to a lovely lunch, we were pampered at Nail.a.holics Nail Salon & Spa. Thank you Unilab for taking great care of us Mommies!
