Hello Sweeties!
I celebrated my 46th Birthday with lunch alone at SM The Block Ground Floor. Gringo Chicken Ribs Friends was at its soft opening that day.
The place is a bit small, but it reminds me of a backyard barbecue but indoors. lol. The staff were attentive, knowledgable and when asked would recommend dishes.
Since I was alone, I decided to try their chicken. I wanted something savory and spicy.
Gringo is the Spanish word for foreigner. If you like watching films, more often than not the connotation for this is pretty negative coming for a pure Mexican. But the food and ambiance is not so at Gringo!

Gringo House Iced Tea

Southern Spice Chicken Meal (1/4) with side of Eggplant and Rice
Grilled and smoked to perfection. The Southern Spice Chicken is probably one of the best I have ever had. The fragrant and herbal taste and the charred juicy chicken is so mouth-water good!
I liked that they had a good selection of side dishes and chicken sizes you can choose from. The place is a bit crowded but the smiling servers and fast and attentive service more than makes up for it. I would take my pork meat hungry family to try their ribs next time, since this time around I was alone and it would be unbecoming a lady to polish off a whole rack of ribs by my lonesome.
If you are in the Northern part of Manila stop by Gringo, try their delicious ribs and chicken. It is worth your while/
