Event: BDJ BOX Shiseido Beauty Soirée (2nd BDJ Box Shisiedo Workshop)

Hello Sweeties!

September is beauty month at least it is for me. such fun filled activities for all BDJ Bellas. Other than the BDJ Beauty Social on September 29. BDJ Box and Shiseido held another Beauty Soirée, a informative workshop for BDj Box subscribers.

The 18 participants (per talk) were given the opportunity to register for a maximum of 2 talks. which starts at 11 AM.

I chose the topics I am most interested in, but to be honest it would have been really fun to sit in all the talks. Shisiedo’s Training Manager Carmel Villongco was there to tell us how to balance a busy life with beauty, One of my favorite BDJ Host, the adorable Tracy Abad hosted, the fun filled and enjoyable event.

I got to Shangri-La EDSA mall about an hour before my first workshop, I found the time to wander around the Shiseido display and try out some of the new products they have. I am also in love with their lighted dresser (I want on in my room) lol. The lippies! The eyeshadows! The awesome colors! rave rave!

The Eyes have It is one of the talks I choose to attend, at my age I really do need all the help I can get in that area. I also have fine line under my dark circles. My eyes are literal PANDA EYES 🐼. I have been using the moisturizers but I never knew there was the right and proper way to apply eye cream.
Proper Application of Shisiedo Ibuki Eye Correcting Cream:
***Apply every morning and night as the last step of your skincare routine
***Using your ring fingers (the ones you usually put your wedding ring on) rub a pea size portion of the eye cream together to warm it up.
***smooth cream gently over the eye with a light patting motion including the eye lids.
My eyes have the literal panda eyes. Sometimes people forget about the lids that also get puffy and dark, so give them a little love too. Believe me when I say that a little goes a long way. Do you don’t have to apply a lot of your eyes. The skin around the eyes have the thinnest skin and it does not have pores. You need to be gentle with them. Here is my review about Shiseido Ibuki Eye Correcting Cream. Carmel also advised that we drink a lot of water to hydrate ourselves.

A make-over for Zia one of the lucky participants in the talks. To demonstrate the Holiday Glam I have plans to doing a close friend’s make-up on her Wedding that is set in the Holiday Season, so I wanted to get some tips.
Here are some of the advise Carmel gave us:
***Holiday is all about color, a pop of color on the lips is just the right for the Holidays.
*** The thicker the eyebrows are the younger we look, we need to coast all the black spots. Apply brow powder, pencil or or liquid to those spots. Start with middle outward. The thickest product usually is on the first application,

Prizes post talks, Ms. Dar and Tracy bonding off stage and the girls lining up for our certificates.

My precious certificates and samples from Shiseido.

I get to see my Bellas another perk that comes with the Shiseido Beauty Soirée.

Two of the lucky girl who were given a free make-over by Shiseido! Zia and Cyrene. Looking fab and fierce.

Prepping for Graduation: Via Make -up

20120223-065402 PM.jpg

I have been into make-up lately and fortunately for me, my daughter is a willing guinea pig. She is 12 and very impressionable. I remember when I was 12, all I was interested in was being a writer. I guess I am making up for all my lost time.

Sun-kissed Gal by g-lish

I found the brand g-lish, since it’s a brand meant for the very young girls. I have bought 2 products from them and they work well with my skin type.

I didn’t use any primer coz I was just practicing, when graduation come I would probably use a primer so the make-up will stick throughout the day.

I next worked on her eyes, I used the liquid eyeliner by Maybelline. I need to get another one soon.
Since the Egyptian eyes were in and I enjoy all the KPop look I tried that out on her, she looked sooo cute! I tried using the matted eyeshadow in pink. I couldn’t get it right.

I also prepped her lips with Étude House’s Miss You Panda in peach

I used my Étude House Wanna Be Style Making Kit

The slight peachy lipstick that I found looked great on her. It looks very natural.

I also used suesh brushes with the rest of the make-up

I thought, I can do it! She doesn’t look weird! I do need to practice more but so far so good.
