Hello Sweeties!

I was delighted to receive an invitation to the newest branch of The Strip and Browhaus, their 4th  I have a soft spot for this brand because this is the first waxing service I have ever tried, but the branches were too far away Serendra (Taguig), Greenbelt 5 ( Makati), Lucky China Town (Manila).
imageLocated at the 5th Floor of the Mega Fashion Hall, you can’t really miss it. It is right next to the escalators. Guest were greeted with these colorful beads reminisce to those used during Mardi Gra of New Orleans this store opening theme: Carnivale.

The guest were given a welcome drink (a bit alcoholic) and offered these scrumptious desserts.

The Strip Affair, a small exhibit of their journey through the years. Like I said, I was a Waxing virgin when I first attended a BDJ Event at Greenbelt 5  when I had my first The Strip/ Browhaus Experience.

Browhaus, specialized in Brow and Lash grooming services and is highly recommended because they only use the best products and equipment coupled with constant research with customer satisfaction as their top priority. Their service equals that of the international stores in Singapore, Hong Kong, Jakarta, and Bangkok.

The Strip: Ministry of Wax, has this mantra: symbolizing their devotion to the Holy Trinity of Waxing: Hygiene, Speed and Quality.

Their service it is relatively painless, it takes less than 15 minutes to finish a Brazilian, there is no double dipping because each client has their own hygiene kit (including gloves, face mask, pH balance wet wipes and spatulas) and you feel good after. I personally felt liberated after my first wax (I had a Brazilian wax, yep I am pretty daring and I have not looked back since). Other than waxing they also offer the Brazilian Facial, another service to check out.

I chose the topics I am most interested in, but to be honest it would have been really fun to sit in all the talks. Shisiedo’s Training Manager Carmel Villongco was there to tell us how to balance a busy life with beauty, One of my favorite BDJ Host, the adorable Tracy Abad hosted, the fun filled and enjoyable event.

I got to Shangri-La EDSA mall about an hour before my first workshop, I found the time to wander around the Shiseido display and try out some of the new products they have. I am also in love with their lighted dresser (I want on in my room) lol. The lippies! The eyeshadows! The awesome colors! rave rave!

The Eyes have It is one of the talks I choose to attend, at my age I really do need all the help I can get in that area. I also have fine line under my dark circles. My eyes are literal PANDA EYES 🐼. I have been using the moisturizers but I never knew there was the right and proper way to apply eye cream.
Proper Application of Shisiedo Ibuki Eye Correcting Cream:
***Apply every morning and night as the last step of your skincare routine
***Using your ring fingers (the ones you usually put your wedding ring on) rub a pea size portion of the eye cream together to warm it up.
***smooth cream gently over the eye with a light patting motion including the eye lids.
My eyes have the literal panda eyes. Sometimes people forget about the lids that also get puffy and dark, so give them a little love too. Believe me when I say that a little goes a long way. Do you don’t have to apply a lot of your eyes. The skin around the eyes have the thinnest skin and it does not have pores. You need to be gentle with them. Here is my review about Shiseido Ibuki Eye Correcting Cream. Carmel also advised that we drink a lot of water to hydrate ourselves.

A make-over for Zia one of the lucky participants in the talks. To demonstrate the Holiday Glam I have plans to doing a close friend’s make-up on her Wedding that is set in the Holiday Season, so I wanted to get some tips.
Here are some of the advise Carmel gave us:
***Holiday is all about color, a pop of color on the lips is just the right for the Holidays.
*** The thicker the eyebrows are the younger we look, we need to coast all the black spots. Apply brow powder, pencil or or liquid to those spots. Start with middle outward. The thickest product usually is on the first application,
