Jon Santos’ Trumperte Goes to the PETA Theater Center this October 2018!

As part of its 51st Season, the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) hosts Jon Santos’ TRUMPERTE this October 26 & 27 at the PETA Theater Center.

Hello Sweeties,

I always look forward to watching plays and events by PETA, this time they will be hosting a show by the very talented and spoofer Jon Santos.

Jon takes to the PETA Stage with his hilarious and on point impressions of Donald Trump and Digong Duterte and a lot of other very interesting characters. The catch is he will only be performing for a very limited  two night run. #TRUMPERTE is written by Jon Santos himself, Enrico Santos and Joel Mercado with the stage direction by Michael Williams.

TRUMPERTE (the mash-up of the show character names) is a special project for Jon because this caps his 30 years in show business. This show only proves than no one can replace him as the top political impersonator and the sharpest comic barometer of society.

In its purest form, the dialogue, action, story, and characters are created collaboratively by the players  as the improvisation unfolds in present time, without use of an already prepared, written script.

Crowded house for the Manila Improv Media Night

Third World Improv and the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) recently invited me to a preview of sorts for their  Manila Improv Festival 2017, the actual event is from March 22 to 26 at the PETA Theater Center in Quezon City.

The fun part is that year’s festival will feature performances by international improvisers from Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Osaka, Tokyo, Mumbai and Brisbane, and showcase Filipino improvisers from Manila, Bacolod and Cagayan de Oro.
